Turkey Meatloaf

Turkey Meatloaf

I have NEVER made meatloaf before in my life. I have always grown up with my Grandmas recipe and watched her make it. Which was amazing! I am a huge fan of replacing ground beef with GROUND TURKEY. I had some laying in the freezer and i thought… tonight is the night i finally make it! IT WAS A HUGE HIT with my fiance and my THREE YEAR OLD who is such a picky eater! He loved it! Needless to say, we will be making this one a lot!

1 lbs. uncooked 93% lean ground turkey
1/2 cup all-natural mild salsa
1/2 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
3 cloves of finely chopped garlic
Ground black pepper (to taste; optional)

1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
2. Combine uncooked ground turkey, salsa, bread crumbs, eggs, garlic, and pepper (if desired) in a large bowl; mix well with clean hands or a rubber spatula.
3. Shape mixture into shape of a loaf and place on ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
4. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes, or until meat is cooked through.
5. Let sit for about 10 minutes before serving.
